DESCRIPTION:Ken (Mayor of Maghull and super community volunteer) has very kindly and generously organised an informal get-together to celebrate FOMD’s remarkable community achievements. \nDetails.  \nIt will take place in Maghull Town Council Chamber on the 25 October 2024\, between 19:00 hours and 22:00 hours. Ken’s consort (Dee) and Diane are preparing some food\, paid for by the mayor’s fund which will also include a tab behind the bar (that we can use as there is a function in the venue). \nInvitation.  \nThis is for absolutely everyone in our group\, as you have all contributed in so many different and invaluable ways\, whether it has been kind positive words of encouragement or physically helping whenever it has been possible. In the spirit of our one-hour sessions please try and come along\, even just for a quick catch up or hello. SUMMARY:Tree Harvest from Maghull’s Largest Community Woodland Border: can you help as we prepare for a massive tree planting program?
DESCRIPTION:The Friends of Maghull and District (FOMD) removed over 20 self seeded trees from our huge woodland border this week and will be planting them in our 2021 planted Old Hall Park woodland to replace any trees that have not survived. The one-hour session (in which everyone is welcome without any commitment)\, will be meeting at Old Hall Park adjacent to the Baptist Church\, at 09:30 hours Wednesday (30.10.24). \nFor our massive tree planting program in Maghull later in the year please register your interest by emailing admin@fomd.co.uk with your contact details and we will be delighted to get back to you to offer you some dates for our community tree planting program. \nEquipment:  You will need garden gloves and sturdy boots\, spade\, garden fork.
