Help Needed At Maghull’s Woodend Community Woodland Project.
3 April @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am
| FreeVenue & Tasks.
The Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD) need volunteers to meet at Woodend (at the junction of Liverpool Road South and Northway) for one hour on Thursday (3.4.25) and Saturday (5.4.25) at 09:30 hours, to:
- Wheelbarrow woodchip (courtesy of Paul & Harry Richards Tree Surgeons) along the small nature corner path (to replenish it).
- Plant a Belfast sink in the nature corner to create a wildlife water resource.
- Begin the annual weeding of the large woodland border (50x4m).
Equipment needed: sturdy boots, garden gloves and garden or hand fork (for weeding on Saturday)
Lots more volunteer opportunities will be coming up soon, so please keep an eye on our events calendar.
Huge thanks to one and all,
FOMD
Together making Maghull a better place to live.
Thank You: Diane, Ken, Joan (pictured) and Colin and Frank (not pictured) for utilising the leftover twigs and vegetation to make five wildlife friendly piles within the newly planted woodland at Rowlands Dell. Thanks for all the shrub donations that were planted throughout the week and particularly our neighbour Anne for access to the crucial water for the new yew tree hedge.
