It is difficult to lose someone we hold very close in our lives, especially when that person has been cherished for touching so many other lives in Maghull with his caring and compassion and rightly considered one of Maghull’s best friends. Consequently, it has been a privilege to extend his caring ethos to our community through the creation of a healthy restorative living legacy haven in the centre of Maghull next to the community medical centre he helped to establish.
Dr John Rowlands widow Catherine kindly commented on a recent visit when she gave another generous donation:
This beautiful and peaceful area has been created and made possible by donations and fantastic volunteers. It is an absolute haven for bird life and all species of nature and a lovely place for everyone to walk through or to have a rest on the seats. It is lovely to see young people walking through with babies in buggies, elderly people and children on their way from school. It has been named after my husband, Dr. John Rowlands, and he would be absolutely chuffed! He loved a quiet sit-down and people watch!
Why We Need Your Help.
