Turning rubbish dump into ‘hidden gem’ was like a Peter Kay comedy. Rowlands Dell in Maghull was transformed into a much-loved green space by local residents, and was showcased on BBC’s The One Show.
The process of transforming an abandoned rubbish dump into one of the most loved green spaces in Merseyside has been likened to a Peter Kay comedy. The comparison was made by the group which created the garden, as they described the ethos behind the project.
