Over the last year the Co-op on Deyes Lane, has partnered with three local community groups and has raised over £1000 for each one. The immensely grateful recipients include the Friends of Maghull & District (FOMD), The Smith Brothers Foundation and the 3rd Sefton Scout Group. https://membership.coop.co.uk/causes/69247
Unfortunately, the local friendly Co-op manager Jenna and her two area community Pioneer Champions Kevin Duffy and Karen Eggleton have been too busy to partake in any advertising/engagement throughout the year or to organise a celebration photograph on this occasion. Consequently, we have used last year’s photograph with the same delighted benefactors (with different causes) with Karen pictured.
FOMD are absolutely delighted to be able to use the £1026.26 towards a huge environmental project to support the transformation of a beautiful natural local unkempt Dell, in the centre of Maghull, into an accessible NHS Wellness Dell. Their brilliant donation will hopefully part fund an informative noticeboard to enhance community engagement at many levels.
We are enormously grateful to (1) all Coop customers who became Co-op members and chose our ‘Cause’ and everyone at the Co-op who were kindly involved in the process of choosing our cause. We hope everyone including the Co-op team will call into the Dell so we can give you a warm introduction to the project and the wonderful difference your contribution will make.
