Sorry for the short notice (and the cold weather!). Is anyone available to help tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock at Woodend (junction of Liverpool Road South and Northway, to plant a few hundred bulbs?

Out of the blue, we received a donation of 1027 bulbs from Mersey Forest, which need to go in the ground ASAP, and we thought tomorrow might be the best day before rain is forecast most of the week.

We are hoping to plant them all in a small area around the bug hotel, which is bordered by the log path (pictured) and is also intended for a wildflower area to be sown in spring, as part of the children’s nature corner.

We have prepared the area earlier this week, by raking the leaves, cutting the grass and have sectioned it off. Equipment needed: anything to make a suitable hole, gloves and maybe something to kneel on.
